Double Uni Knot

Joins two lines — the easiest reliable braid-to-fluorocarbon leader connection for most anglers.

How to tie it

  1. 1Overlap the two lines by about 6".
  2. 2With one line, tie a Uni knot around the other (wrap braid 5–6 times, mono 4).
  3. 3Repeat with the second line around the first.
  4. 4Wet both knots and pull the standing lines so the two knots slide together and seat.
  5. 5Trim both tags close.

Common mistakes

  • Too few braid wraps (slips)
  • Not seating the two knots tightly together

When not to use it

When you need the thinnest possible connection through the guides — use an FG.
